The Most Unwanted Inventions
Marilyn vos Savant, in her column Ask Marilyn (Parade Magazine), listed 10 inventions that 2000 of her readers would like to uninvent. Uninventing these ten would certainly change the world.
She lists:
1) High heels
2) Jet Skis
3) Leaf-Blowers
4) Automated Telephone Assistance
5) Television
6) Video games
7) Bass amplifiers
8) Neckties
9) Car Alarms
10) Cell phones.
I think 99.9% of us can agree on Nos. 4 and 9, and a large majority of women would agree on No. 1. What would you like to uninvent?
