Idea Spotting - How to Find Your Next Great Idea

Several months ago, Blake Snow put me on to Juicing The Orange. It is a great read for anyone who is interested in advertizing. Why advertising interests me, I am not sure, as lawyer advertising has traditionally been looked down on. For some reason it was OK to "sponsor" the symphony, but running advertisements on TV or magazines was considered beneath many firms. Of course, those who were not beneath such activities advertised and grew. Now, some business magazines have more advertisements for law firms than for business supplies - but I digress.

When I ordered Juicing the Orange, Amazon kindly suggested another book that it was sure I would enjoy. I finally read the book on my trip to New England.

IDEA SPOTTING How to Find Your Next Great Idea is a quick read and discusses numerous inventions, advertising campaigns and other ideas and how they were created. The book also provides a good roadmap for simply finding many of the wonderful things in life that we overlook by being stuck in our daily ruts.

Happy reading
