Microsoft Dodges Another Bullet

While Microsoft finds its way into court frequently as a defendant, it also shows an uncanny ability to dodge the bullet - whether it be anti-trust allegations or patent infringement cases which are larger than Bill Gates' lunch money. Microsoft did it again yesterday. Yesterday Judge Rudi Brewster of the United Stated District Court for the Southern District of California (San Diego) granted Microsoft's post trial motions that it did not infringe one patent and that it had a license to another. If the Judge's order stands, Microsoft escapes the record setting $1.5 Billion jury verdict Alcatel-Lucent received a few months ago.
