What Your Attorney Hopes You Know About Business Blogging - B4B Presentation

Yesterday, Brian Lloyd and I gave a presentation at the Blogging for Business conference entitled What Your Attorney Hopes You Know About Business Blogging.   A number of people in attendance wanted the powerpoint.   Here it is.

I'd say that the most important part of thinking before you blog is to think before you blog.  In the business context, this involves giving your bloggers a set of guidelines that give them clear borders of what is and is not OK.  It involves making a blogging process, whatever makes sense for your organization.

I think people will react well when given clear guidelines in a transparent process with reasoning given for everything.  You're employees/associates don't want to get in legal trouble anymore than you do.  They just lack the information.  I hope that the presentation helps that lack of information.

If you missed the conference or would like to hear what those more sage than I have to say, I would encourage you to order the DVD.  Hopefully the conference becomes a yearly event.
