The Best of The Competitive Insight - A Day of Fabulous

Every week, The Competitive Insight lists the Utah patents and trademarks pursued by Utah businesses and individuals.  These filings are insight into the competitive landscape here in Utah.  They allow you to see what people are doing well, and what people are doing poorly.  Perhaps it will even give insight into an underserved niche.  I'll be giving recognition to the most interesting ones that come across my desk.  Here's my favorites from this week.

Patent of the Week

7,293,719 Air freshener and method Alan J. Wheatley, Draper, UT; Christopher D. Anderson, Draper, UT American Covers, Inc., Draper, UT

What better way to start your fabulous day than with a patented air freshener?  Honestly, I thought that the air freshener market had been tapped out of inventions with the Febreze Scentstories.  It appears that I was completely wrong.  There is always room to innovate, as these patented, rebounding, sticky, stinkers prove.

Trademark of the Week

It’s a freezer full of FABULOUS! The Shiksa and The Princess, Inc. Salt Lake City, UT

When I saw this trademark, I had to google it to see what came up.  Unfortunately, it was only our previous blog post on trademark applications.  I don't know what "a freezer full of FABULOUS!" is, but I want some.  Imagine the neighbors coming over.  I'd just let them know that I'd pop some FABULOUS out of the freezer and we'd be set in a few minutes.  Now, all I need is to know what "a freezer full of FABULOUS!" is.
